Setelah melakukan riset dan penelitian yang sangat akurat dan tepat (ala ala ilmiah :p ), aku daapati beberapa perbedaan dari teman – teman ku yang berkuliah di berbagai universitas dan wilayah. Yah setidaknya dalam kurun waktu 1 semester ini lah. Memang hanya beberapa saja yang bias ketemu secara langsung, tapi dengan adanya akun facebook dan twitter, rasanya sangat mudah untuk menyimpulkan hal ini .

Yang pertama : LOGAT (dialek bahasa)
mungkin kalau dalam hal ini universitas dan jurusan tidak begitu pengaruh, yah,, tentunya dari segi “wilayah baru” teman – teman yang merantau jauh dari rumah.
Tampak dari logat salah satu teman ku yang berkuliah di daerah sekitar JABODETABEK, penggunaan kata “mah”,  “atuh”,  “gue” adalah salah satu bukti yang cukup kuat (sekuat Samson , haha)
Lalu untuk daerah sekitar Jatim, yah termasuk aku yag berlokasi didaerah Malang, penggunaan penekanan “ a” dalam suatu kalimat. Contohnya “udah makan a kamu ?”
Daerah Surabaya , hmm.. apanya ya, mungkin dari “keras” dan “kasar”nya penggunaan kata ganti sapaan (kayaknya jangan aku sebut deh )
Untuk teman teman ku yang ada didaerah lain, masih belum paham aku, jarang ketemu dan berinteraksi. :D

Yang kedua :  PENAMPILAN
di kampung halaman ku sendiri (daerah ujung pulau jawa di bagian jawa timur) yang namaya penampilan biasanya sih simple simple aja ya (mungkin gara gara masih SMA, semuanya pakek aturan ) tapi setelah kuliah, WOW! Keren abissss, bisa “nggumun”(heran) litany. Ini dari pengamatanku aja yaa, tidak bermaksud menyinggung pihak-pihak terkait (__”) , yang paling menonjol dari anak kedokteran, sumpah penampilanny keren dan rapih abiss! Yang cowok bercelanakan kain, kaos kai, sepatu fantovel, kemeja, rapih banget dah. Yang cewek gak kalah rapih, semuanya pakek rok, make up  nya natural, wibawa nya keliatan deh pokoknya. Okee ,, lanjutt ! anak ekonomi , hmm penampilanny ngalah ngalahin artis, saingan deh pokoknya, bajunya keren – keren, yang cewek terutama, rasanya ngikutin mode banget deh, make up nya pun bisa ngalah – ngalahin artis, gila. Kalo aku masuk ke komunitas mereka, bisa dikira gembel jalanan yang akan langsung di depak jauh – jauh! . lanjut ke anak TEKNIK (aku banget ini ), dari yang cowok, celana sobek- sobek, rambut gondrong, wajah biasa dan sangar dipandang, sekali liat langsung takut deh (^^V), yang cewek, penampilannya hanya pake kemeja biasa (warna gak mencolok), bercelana, tanpa make up, yang berjilbab pun, jilbabnya gak di model apa apa, so simple !
Nah, kembarannya anak teknik(menurutku sih )adalah anak ilmu budaya , yah, yang cowok penampilannya persis sama anak teknik, bedanya wajah mereka gak sangar kayak anak teknik, buat yang cewek masih kurang paham aku.

Yahh,, mungkin Cuma itu sih, sebenarnya ini bukan penilaian dari segi kelompok , ini penilaian kepada teman – temanku yang sakarang kuliah di berbagai macam jurusan, universitas, dan wilayah. Gak bermaksud menyinggung siapapun , :D

THE ROLE OF THE INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING PROFESSION IN THE FUTURE

So the breadth of scope that can be reached to apply science industrial engineering, however are still worth to remember all of them should remain based on physical sciences, mathematics and social-economical, brings its own problems for professional  industrial engineering  by the time they have to explain exactly ” what should we do and where should we work?”.

This is really not an easy question to answer briefly, clear and satisfying those who still lay with the science of industrial engineering. The fact that frequently encountered is that a set-back science industrial engineering often are and work everywhere, ranging from operational line to managerial line. A professional industrial engineering often prides itself in it's ability to design and develop concepts with systems approach that is an insightful, comprehensive-integral. The mindset of this system compliant may be strong basic techniques from a professional industry wherever he resides or works. Some individuals who are successful in improving the performance of the company feel perfectly well how the discipline of engineering industry has been able to respond to the issues which it finds itself. Herm Reininga is President of Collins Avionices and Comunications Division (CACD), USA is one example of a successful manager bring the entire activities of manufactuing CACD for over a decade, due to the industrial engineering profession background he has. When asked which he tricks the key to success, Reininga said " …. The industrial engineering dagree gave me a system that the other didn’t have. It gave me the ability to statistically analzed products and processes” (Boggs,1997). The same thing with Reininga also stated by Susan Story as Vice President of Albama Power Co., a man set his formal education as a nuclear engineer, but felt that the success reached more career, supported by her participation in the following training on various occasions IE owns. At the time told his success tips, Susan said " . . . a background in industrial engieenering gives you a creadibility you can’t get otherwise. Industrial engineering combines the technical skill with the people skill and some business-type skills that proven to be important in project management and people management ….”(Boggs, 1996). How to achieve success in the early endeavors a person because IT studies the mastered, certainly much more to be gained from a variety of stories of its success. It is not only found in LN, but can also be learned from what has been stated by a Cacuk Sudariyanto educational backgrounds in 1964 as a mining engineer at the time to boost the performance of the ITB PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia moving toward global business. Facing this kind of situation is of course required an industry that has a provision majer strong not only mastering technical operational capabilities (enginereering design/processes), but it must also be controlled with either the ability of human affairs (human skill), as well as the ability in the da gives birth to formulate new concepts that effectively-efficient could provide a breakthrough in solving problems of an industry that is increasingly complex and fraught with uncertainty.
